In order for the house to be as comfortable and comfortable as possible, it is necessary to plan the lighting accurately. And it is necessary to approach this issue correctly, having prepared a scenario of light in advance, which will help with the design and contribute to creating a pleasant atmosphere during your stay.
Light in the apartment is one of the most important structural elements. Depending on the intensity and quantity, it can change the perception of interior items and the design of the room as a whole. For light, a separate project is usually drawn up, in which a drawing of the layout of all appliances and standing furniture, partitions and levels is drawn. We take into account colors and textures, materials and sizes, capacities and even practical purpose of the room. Such a plan is called a light scenario, and for each room it has its own. Let us analyze them in more detail.
In my opinion, there should be at least three light scenarios: general lighting, general lighting, spotlighting. Then the nuances begin, directly related to the artistic image, the functional of the room, the nature of the customer and the geographical location of the apartment. It is also important that the scripts are simple and understandable to the user.
Scenario 1. Corridor
In the hallway, as, indeed, in any other room, light is needed. But the need for it is limited only to undress-strip and go to the next room. Therefore, lighting can not be wasted – buy luminaires of closed form, and make switches pass through (especially if the corridor is quite long). You can separately highlight the area near the mirror and the hanger, or a wall cabinet, if any. The level of illumination usually does not exceed 100 lumens per square meter.
Scenario 2. Living room
The living room is a room where much of the time is spent, rather than placing the script at number 1. There is also a recreation area, a place for talking or watching TV, and a workspace, if there is none in other parts of the apartment. Accordingly, the level of illumination should be higher – 200 lumens. It is simplest to light the light according to different heights: the upper one as the main one, while the lower lamps, lamps or fireplace are additional. These “islands of light” are ideal for giving the room a diversity and uniqueness.
In addition to basic ceiling lighting, it is important to use table and floor lamps. This is due to the fact that in the zone of the soft group there should be a separate, more diffuse lighting, which, if necessary, can be moved around the room. In addition, with the help of floor lamps and table lamps you can create different lighting scenarios – to make it more subdued when you receive guests or relax after a day’s work.
Scenario 3. Kitchen
Here there are important processes associated with cooking. Accordingly, the lighting should be stable and bright, without glare, muffled or abrupt transitions from light to shadow. The output is the general lighting at the top and additional lamps directed strictly to the work area. Separately, you can gently illuminate the dining table. The main thing is to remember the shadow effect, so that it does not interfere with cooking and eating.
In the kitchen there should be several lighting scenarios. The main ceiling light does not give you enough light during cooking, so it’s important to take care of the necessary level of illumination in the kitchen work area. Most often these are built-in LED lamps above the stove and counter top.
Scenario 4. Bedroom
It is very important that in the bedroom there is as easy access to the switches as possible, and the lighting itself must be muffled. Many put dimmers, and even more people hang lamps right above the pillow to create individual lighting, without disturbing those who are around. Ideal both for reading and for creating a decorative or romantic atmosphere.
To the children’s bedroom a little bit different requirements – it should be comfortable to play or study. Therefore, in the nursery, in addition to the night lamp, which helps the child to fall asleep quickly, it is important to provide a fairly bright basic lighting. If the child already goes to school and the room has a desk, it must have a reading lamp on it.
Scenario 5. Bathroom
In the bathroom, the correct solution is the mirror illumination. On the ceiling and walls can be any plafonds, both bright and matte. But a mirror is absolutely necessary, and the entire area around it should be illuminated as best as possible to see yourself reflected as clearly as possible to give an appearance that matches the mood and plans.
The only zones in the bathrooms that require lighting are the bath area or the shower and washbasin area. Therefore, usually in the bathrooms have two types of lamps: a ceiling built-in lamp and a lamp in the mirror area above the washbasin. If the bathroom is a laundry function, it is important to ensure that the area of the washing machine is light enough to look at the stains on clothing if necessary.
